Chalk that up as another item in the emerging BPO Market. Because of the dropping price of high speed internet connectivity as well as computer hardware, business models have started to change in order to take advantage of these advances.
Online tutoring is but one of the many business models that can be outsourced. Back office accounting, Human Resources and Payroll Processing to name a few. Despite the entry of these new online based business models, the traditional outsourced jobs such as call centers (inbound tech support and outbound market research and product marketing), Web Development, Application Development, Search Engine Optimization and Tech Support are still there and doing well.
