The efforts to involve local governments against illegal recruitment shall be intensified this year with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) spearheading the campaign, Labor and Employment Secretary Arturo D. Brion today said.
Brion cited Executive Order No. 548-A promulgated recently by the President which reiterated the anti-illegal functions of the POEA as mandated by RA 8042 or the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipino Act of 1995.
