Director Atty. Marcelinda Omila-Yap, BIR Region XI Director, said Davao region has exceeded its tax collection goal by P1, 664,123.56 with a total collection for 2006 amounting to P6, 130,792,123.56 over the target goal of P6, 129,128,000.
Compared to 2005 collection of P4, 943,236,736.93, last year’s (1006) collection amounting to P6, 130,792,123.56, the BIR regional office has exceeded its collections by P1, 187,555,386.63.
