Looks like us Davaoeno’s have to contend with the traffic caused by the collapse of the Bankerohan Bridge a little while longer. DPWH Region XI confirmed that it will take about 8 months to fix the almost 6 decade old bridge that served as one of the 4 main arteries to the city from the south. The initial proposal called for a 1 year execution plan but upon Mayor Duterte’s insistence, that it be finished by Christmas, build time was reduced to 8 months.
The eight-month period covers the reconstruction of almost the entire stretch of Generoso Bridge with 161 meters long since we have the northbound and southbound lanes.[source]
