According to the COMELEC, for the recently concluded 2007 local elections, the Davao Region scored one of the country’s highest turnouts with 80% of the population voting. Along with Davao the other regions with high voter turnout were : Region 1 - Ilocos (82 to 83 percent), Region 5 - Bicol (80 to 85 percent) and Region 10 - Northern Mindanao (80 to 85 percent).
The entire voter turnout for the Philippines was pegged at 75%
