Its a Duterte-Duterte leadership for the city of Davao as the beloved Mayor Rodrigo Duterte won a lopsided victory alongside his running mate, daughter Atty Sara Duterte. The garnered 382,185 and 338,095 votes respectively in the recently concluded election. Congressman Boy Nograles was reelected to represent the 1st District, along with Congressman Vincent Garcia to represent the 2nd District. Outgoing councilor, Isidro Ungab, won Congressman for 3rd district, defeating Councilor Rene Elias Lopez, the brother of outgoing Congressman Ruy Elias Lopez.
Mabel Sunga-Acosta won the most votes as councilor representing district 1, followed by Leonardo Avila III, Pilar Braga, Angela Librado-Trinidad, Peter Laviña, Bonifacio Militar, Nilo Abellera and Edgar Ibuyan.
District 2 winners were Louie John Bonguyan (son of Vice Mayor Luis Bonguyan), Diosdado Mahipus, Danilo Dayanghirang, Dante Apostol, Dr. Samuel Bangoy, Lawyer Arnolfo Ricardo Cabling, Tomas Monteverde IV and Susan Isabel Reta.
District 3 winners were Myrna Dalodo-Ortiz, Wilberto Al-ag, Victorio Advincula, Rachel Zozobrado, Karlo Bello, Jose Louie Villafuerte and Teresita Mata
