The two events which are officially titled as “6th Mindanao Information Communications Technology (MICT) Congress” and the “1st Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Information And Communications Technology (ICT) Conference” will be held in Davao City on October 23-27, 2007 at the NCCC Exhibition Center in NCCC Mall Matina.
The two events were made possible by the participation and support of the following:

The theme of the joint event is “ICT Beyond Borders: People. Infrastructure. Innovation.” It aims continue the work of the previous congresses which was to promote the island of Mindanao as an integral part of the Philippine Cyberservices Corridor for call centers, medical transcriptionists and other business process outsourcing ventures as well as provide a venue in identifying areas for greater collaboration among ICT stakeholders in Mindanao and the BIMP-EAGA region.

Accelerating the growth of the ICT in the region forms part of the Philippine government’s thrust to leverage ICT to enhance the country’s participation in the global economy.
