Davao City made it to the 10th spot of the ASIAN CITIES OF THE FUTURE List. The list was compiled by the Finance Direct Investment (fDi) magazine of the Financial Times Group of the United Kingdom. Aside from that award, Davao City also made the 6th spot of the Most Cost Effective City for lowest manual labor cost and made it to the 5th spot for the Best Human Resource.
Davao City also placed second in the list with the lowest middle management salary. Also on the list was Cebu and Quezon City who placed 7th and 3rd respectively.
In a business sense, Hopefully this will attract more investors to set up shop in the city. If they still aren’t attracted to the fact the traffic is light, the air is clean and the food is cheap. Which equates to more a productive and healthy workforce.

i canot agree that the air is clean coz since i came back i get so soffucated with the fumes from jeepneys and cars. the air is so heavy to breath in. and have been suffering from sore throat coz of it. hope the government and the people could do something about it.
but nice to know that we are improving according to the article and competitive all throughout Asia.

On the other hand, wouldn’t it make you think, that if Davao is that bad, what more the other cities who were ranked lower?
