A plumbing works training will be offered by the Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF) in Mindanao in hopes of increasing the productivity of construction workers.
The Plumbers Training seminar will touch on:
- Plumbing terminologies and definitions.
- Plumbing tools, plumbing materials and plumbing equipments.
- Plumbing schematics reading and interpretation.
- Lay-out, cutting, threading, and installation of pipes for water, drainage and vent system.
- Miscellaneous plumbing fixtures.
The training will be held at the Lapanday Skills Training Center (LSTC) in Mandug on June 27, July 4, July 11, and July 18. The training package will cost P2,200 per head in order to cover expenses for hand outs, training materials, and tools.
The CMDF is a bureau of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) that offers trainings in construction skills for improved quality and workmanship. Companies can also request a special schedule for the skills seminar they offer with a minimum head count of 5.
“They just have to come up with at least five participants per schedule,” CMDF-Mindanao said.
