The Philippine Postal Savings Bank in Davao City announced that public utility vehicle drivers and operators can now avail of the auto loan program that was given to them by the Philippine President.
The car loan program and package gives them the opportunity to convert their engines to run on the much cheaper autolpg. The engine conversion program of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was announced a few days ago and was a welcome relief to the soaring gasoline prices that the humble public utility vehicle driver has to contend with in order to eke a living.
According to the announced the Presidents announcement, it will usually cost around P70,000 to convert a vehicle diesel engine to run on Auto-LPG. Payback rate for the loan will be around P80.00/day, but because of the savings that can be incurred with the switch to auto-lpg, they said that this won’t be a financial burden to the driver.
As of now, car dealers do not offer this conversion or the auto-gas car kit. It has to be an after market conversion of your car bought from a third party installer.
Drivers just have to go to the Postal Bank branch in San Pedro St. Interested loan applicants should look for Glecyl Ann BretaƱa or Jun Baluyot, Postal Bank Account Executive Assistant or call the loans assistance telephone number 3007584 or email them at ppsbdvo@moscom.com.

I’m trying to find a number given to me before of a shop that does autogas conversion. In the meantime, I think the best option would be to ask the taxi drivers who drive LPG converted taxi’s.
:D
