The Scholarship and Financial Assistance Program of De La Salle University - Manila (DLSU) is in place for the University to achieve its goal of extending its educational facilities to Filipino students who are deserving of financial aid. In line with this it announced the availability of Graduate Scholarships for the second term of the semester in their Graduate School program.
It’s quite sad really that the concept of student loans isn’t available in the Philippines, what we have here mostly are scholarships. The Philippines could do well to learn from this concept so as to fund the education of our youth. That way those who lack the intellect to win a scholarship can still afford a good education by applying for a student loan.
Graduate Financial Assistance are available for the following colleges: College of Business and Economics (CBE), CCS (College of Computer Science), College of Education (CED), College of Liberal Arts (CLA) ( except MAHESOS, MFACREA, DDEVEST, PHDTHEO), College of Engineering(COE) and College of Science(COS).
Application period for the said graduate studies grants will be between June 26 - July 31, 2008. Last day of releasing of SFA application forms will be by July 29 (Tuesday) 5:00 pm. Deadline for submission of completed application form and requirements is on July 31 (Thursday) 5:00 pm.
SFA graduate grantees who wish to apply for an upgrading of their current grants may write The SFA Director Thru: The Vice-Dean (Graduate Studies Director for COE) during the application period.
