Davao Job Fair and Business Seminars on Oct 23 - 25, 2008

A job fair will be held at the Davao Convention Center in time with the Davao Trade Expo of 2008 from October 23 to 25, 2008.

This is made possible by the cooperation of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII), the Department of Labor and Employment and the tv station, ABS-CBN who will disseminate the information.

During a job fair, it is recommended that applicants come prepared. Dress smartly, answer honestly, bring extra copies of your bio data and pictures. Know a little something about the company so that you will know what you are getting into and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Aside from the job fair, they will also conduct trainings for small and medium entrepreneurs during the trade expo. The seminars will be held at the VIP Room of Coco’s restaurant beside the Davcon at F. Torres Street.

One of these seminars is on training on marketing “Make More Money: Manage Your Funds (The Blue Ocean Strategy) that will be discussed by D. Freddie Serapio, DBA, professor and marketing program director of School of Business and Governance at the Ateneo de Davao University, October 23, 2008 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

“Creating Sustainable Competitive Advantage thru E-Commerce” will be handled by Dr. Jed Loma, director of Corporate Communications at the Asian Pacific College, October 25, 2008 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am while “Effective Customer Service in the Corporate World will be discussed by Mr. Newell V. Cubacub, Pit Manager of Casino Filipino and an expert in the field of customer service, October 24, 2008 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

Human resource management training particularly on “Taking Care of People for Competitive Advantage” will be handled by Dr. Myrna Viado, human resource department head of One Network Bank, October 24, 2008 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
